We are getting very excited about our forthcoming 3 Wise Men Day.

Yes, we really do have 3 Wise Men of our own - Andy Bell, Chris Woolf and Matt Davis.

You are invited down to Prokit on the 17th of December 2013 to celebrate Christmas with our very own Three Wise Men, Andy Bell, Chris Woolf, and Matt Davis. They’ll be bringing with them years of experience, practical knowledge, and a sharp wit.

The day will kick off at 10.30am for registration, coffees, mince pies, and probably a few yuletide songs.

At 11am Andy Bell will present a seminar on the fundamentals of a three point interview lighting setup. Using tungsten, LED, and Fluorescent sources, he’ll show you how to get the best shots in the situations you can control, as well as those you can’t.

There’ll be a break for lunch, followed at 1.30pm by Chris Woolf, Rycote’s Technical Consultant, giving a seminar on getting the most out of the audio capabilities of your camera. The talk will cover the basics of microphone design, how placement affects microphone pickup, and the accessories you can use to make your audio excel.

To round the day off, at 3.30pm, we’ll have Matt Davis talking you through the essentials of chromakey. He’ll discuss choosing your background, lighting it evenly, and setting up your camera for the best results.

Andy Bell

Freelance lighting cameraman with over twenty years of experience. Huge range of experience filming in tricky situations, including major disaster areas, riots, and war zones. In addition to this he’s lit and filmed a number of commercials, dramas, and documentaries for broadcast clients such as the BBC, as well as government agencies, and corporate clients.

Matt Davis

Matt writes, shoots, edits and publishes video. Mostly for corporates - He specialises in corporate event and brand experience marketing - but he has shot everything from candids to documentary. About 60-70% of his work is around Europe with the occasional jaunt further afield.

Chris Woolf

Rycote’s technical consultant for all things audio since 1997. What he doesn’t know about windjammers isn’t worth knowing. He picked up the Technical Academy Award in 1999 on behalf of Rycote for the design of the Modular Suspension System. He’s a real sound guy.

The day is free of charge, but we’d like to know if you’re able to make it. Please use the registration link below, or drop us an email on enquiries@prokit.co.uk.
