12th November 2013
You've seen and heard of people cycling, walking or running from Land's End to John O'Groats. We know clients who have filmed these events. I've even done the journey myself - on a motorcycle. It's a beautiful way to experience Britain - on paths, on tarmac, but definitely ONSHORE. So, when we met Sean Conway, and he said he was going to do it swimming OFFSHORE, well, we freely admit now to a considerable amount of incredulity. How wrong we were. After 135 days at sea, he arrived at John O'Groats on Monday 11th. November 2013. Armistice Day was being commemorated, appropriately, as Sean is raising money for War Child - a charity supporting children affected by war started by adults.
This is the First ever length of Britain Swim.
For Sean's support team to film the event, he bought a Sony HXR-NX70E from us.
